  I loved the cousins party also.  It is so much fun to get together and renew our family ties.  Always lots of fun and lots of laughs.  Thanks Steve and Mareva for hosting this years party.  Your yard is beautiful!! And even though mom doesn't remember going, she seemed to have a good time while she was there.  I loved the info Bonnie shared with us, and the stories from Big Verns were hilarious!  Love you all!!    Karen      P.S.  I am trying to get the engraving caught up on the golf trophy.  Please let me know if you won the golf tournament in 2008, 2009, or 2010.

I am so sorry I missed the cousins party AGAIN this year. Suzanne's comments reminded me that a few years ago my then husband attended a reunion and his comments to his family and friends was "I cannot believe how 'clean-cut' the WHOLE family is and how much love and closeness they share. It has always been a privilege to belong to such a wonderful family who is full of concern for each other!  I am sure my wonderful aunts Cumora and Geniveve represented the Gardner clan with love, class and grace. I would have loved to see everybody but I know Diane represented the Mallory's. Isn't she beautiful?? And, she has more than enough energy for both of us. I love her and all my Gardner family so much.

It is always so affirming to look around at the counsins gathering and feel a sense of connection, loyalty, and love for people with whom one shares a common genetic code and heritage.  I love getting together with my cousins and their spouses.   Of course, to be with our Aunts  is also such a privilege.  Touching base and lots of hugs are the highlights for me at the Cousins Party.   Plus, everyone looked great.  Pretty hairstyles, nice attire, and, especially for me, Sally was able to come!
